About

I'm a self-taught photographic artist from Sheffield, UK.

My interests lie in the seminal qualities of still-life and the challenge of using photography as an artistic expression.

Having a background in contemporary furniture making is a major influence to my artistic practice and assists in the composition and material choices that I use.

I’m studio-based and consider that one of my greatest vantage points.  It’s a limited space that encourages repetition and gives strength to my practice.

My style of artwork is introspective and demonstrates my understanding of the pictorial image and it’s application methods.  The arc of my work is treating the photographic image as the sculptural object.  I try to formulate an artistic discipline to display the beauty that connects contrasting interests.

What fascinates me is the plasticity and the generosity of day-to-day items that I use, which illustrates how change is proportioned and measured.
